Overview:
The Billing Specialist is an integral member of the accounting team and is responsible for general accounting accuracy and the day to day accounting support of internal and external clients.
Responsibilities:
Billing
- Prepare weekly invoicing for key clients within 2 business days
- Prepare reimbursement invoicing and work alongside Claims Payment Dept to reconcile balances weekly
- Prepaid offline and Network Mailer invoicing on a weekly basis
- Correspond with clients (as needed) and respond to inquiries
- Coordinate with Staff Accountant to review billing discrepancies
- Handle collections reporting and weekly follow up on unpaid invoices
- Work alongside Staff Accountant to prepare and distribute monthly invoices to clients within SLA deadlines
- Handle management of client portals for invoice submission
Reporting
- Prepare weekly reporting used for invoicing and client purposes
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Miscellaneous
- Operate consistent with documented accounting policies, procedures and controls
- Complete various ad hoc analysis and reports (and specific projects) as requested
- Handle day-to-day accounting support
- Become and continue to be fully educated on SproutLoud features and functionality
Requirements:
- At least 2-3 years of billing experience
- Experience with accounting software a plus; QuickBooks preferred
- Good software user and administration skill
- Good written and verbal communications skills required
- General knowledge of accounting principles and procedures and full cycle accounting process
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to multitask
Not required, but would be a plus:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting

Interview process
Our five steps recruiting process lasts a total of 2 weeks:
